Seminars?

Well, I still like the idea of having seminars, but we haven't had anyone wanting any for over two months. Will this ever work?

It is frustrating to see something I believe in getting attacked so many times in so many ways. It is almost enough to make a person want to give up...
or maybe want to face that challenge again to prove that it works...

Which will I do?

Guess, you'll have to stay tuned in to see...

Shamed

Since I have been filling my time with facebook and mafia wars, I have not blogged or logged in to read anyone else's either. Now I have had the chance to read some that I was previously following.

Oh, the shame. Married to a doctor specializing in hcg and getting fatter and lazier and continuing to make excuses.

They really sound like valid reasons in my head. When I say them out loud or write them down, I just sound like the biggest loser on the planet. And I don't mean Biggest Loser like on the tv show. (I've got nothing but respect and awe for those people doing what they do - even if it is scripted)

I am sorry that what I appear to be is not what I really am on the inside. I am sorry that I have not lived up to anyone's expectations - including my own.

Reading about other people's journeys on this hcg diet, I know it isn't easy, it isn't a miracle cure, but I am so impressed with people's willpower and dedication.

I need to find mine...

Is HCG a scam?

Well, it has been a long time since I posted anything. With moving across state, I kind of forgot about dieting AND blogging.

Lately it has come to my attention that a few low-carb bloggers have been writing about how my husband, who is a naturopathic physician, (a damn good one, if you ask me!)is running a clinic in Seattle that is posting pictures of complete strangers and claiming that they are patients. Now if you want to bash the hcg diet protocol, that is your business, but if you start bashing my family, that is throwing down the gauntlets and asking for a fight!

We did not sell a business, a web-site, patient information or anything else to Radiant Med Spa. My husband did sub-lease his Seattle office when he realized that he could not make a business work in that location. Luckily, that lease is up next year and we can be through with that place for good!

I mean really...I am not that stupid and neither is he. We don't publish before and after pictures of our patients because we feel that if they want to publish that information, it is their business, not ours. I worked in medical records at a hospital here in Washington and I KNOW BETTER than using information like that without express written consent. While working in Seattle, we only actually took one before picture and never published it anywhere. And because we have moved and that person is no longer a patient, we have erased it from our computer.

What really gets me, is that somebody sent an email to one of these people that had their pictures used without their consent, and they used my husband's name and asked the person to talk. The person has written on his blog that he just laughed and didn't even think about answering back to that email. I guess that worked out well for him, since it wasn't from the doctor he thought was writing to him anyway. The current owner of the business in that ill-fated space supposedly stated that she bought the website with the fraudulent content from the previous owner (thanks for setting us up as the scape goat!not!) and is not to blame. I beg to differ!

I remember reading on a certain Californian person's website that he was really angry about people who stole pictures and stories and put it on their website and mentioned a certain "mama clock". Since I noticed that that person's story was up on the "ill-fated space"s website, I contacted him so he could pass on the information to what I assumed was his friend. I hope that this is not where this whole blogging nightmare started. It would be ironic, though, wouldn't it - trying to tell someone that I don't know how to contact that their picture and story were being used fraudulently and that coming back to bite me in the rear when someone accuses my husband as being the one who posted it in the first place. AAARRRRGGGHHH!

Anyway, back to the title...Is HCG a scam? Well, in opposition to the FDA's stance on the subject, I don't think that it is. I am no expert. I am not a doctor. But I have seen people who have used the diet and I have used it myself. When people follow the protocol, it seems to work with few, if any, side effects. Unless, of course, you count added energy, lack of dependence on medications, lower blood pressure, lower blood sugar levels, lack of pain due to carrying around extra weight and losing weight as side effects -then - there are side effects.

When I was on the diet, I lost 1/2 to 1 lb a day. Then I "fell off the wagon" so to speak. During our move, I let myself go and ate at fast food restaurants. Big mistake. Also, being stressed out by the pressure of being married to the doctor who is telling people how to lose weight and not following a healthy lifestyle myself made me feel like eating more and more of the worst possible foods (like mozzarella sticks...)

The hcg diet is not a wonder drug or miracle cure. You really do have to follow the protocol and change your behaviors or you will go right back to where you were before. I am proof of that. But I have seen other people who have followed the diet and changed the way they ate afterwards who still look and feel great. I guess only time will tell if they can keep it off forever.

As for me, I still have hope. I believe that this diet protocol works and that I can try again. After all, I live with a great doctor who can help me.

hCG Weight Loss Home Seminars

Yeah! we are all scheduled to do our first seminar!

I hope we have prepared enough. It is exciting and then scary all at the same time because I have never done it before.....

HCG diet is very sensitive

I have found out what was meant when I heard that this diet was very sensitive. One bite, one sip, etc can throw off your whole day.

You would think, since I am married to the doctor who is telling people how to do this diet, that I would have it down by now and be able to stick to it. But alas, no.

To all you hcg dieters out there who really stick to the diet...I salute you!

I have finally lost another pound. But I have to come to grips with my stress eating. Thankfully, the hcg makes it so that I don't gain, but still, it gets discouraging to not see the scale move down. Resolve, where are you?

Weight Loss Stall today

Well, I didn't do too well the last two days. I succumbed to temptation and didn't get back on track until today. Luckily, that has only caused me to stall and not gain weight back.
I get my second shot today (hCG + Vit B-12). I'm getting ready to make protein shakes for JOS and myself. Chocolate for her, vanilla for me. Yumm. That will hold us until lunch.
More later...

Seattle Clinic sold

Well, we've given up the ghost so to speak on the Seattle clinic location. Sadly people keep asking if we are in Seattle, and we have to tell them no. High rent, not enough clientele, not enough time. If we had funds to keep us going for a while, we could have done it, but we ran out of time.
Does this mean "they" won?
Well, maybe it does. But...we are still going. Just not in an office in Seattle. We will still do our seminars throughout Washington and operate out of the Kennewick office. I hope we can travel to pretty places we haven't seen yet. That would make the seminar idea really worth it.

Yeah! 1 1/2 more pounds gone!

After our trip to Kennewick I was surprised to find out that I had still lost weight.

I didn't drink enough water and we were too busy to eat throughout the day, which made me kind of go overboard when we did eat. Especially after a patient recommended a good Mexican restaurant in Pasco(El Asadero). It looked so good that I went ahead and ordered something totally off the diet. ok, it had some items from the diet, but cooked totally wrong(for the diet). It was SOOOOO good, though, that it was worth it.

So, business was good, my dieting was off track, and we almost got stuck on top of the pass, but all in all, all is well that ends well, I guess.

I still lost 1 1/2 pounds!

And for anyone in the area, our patient was right.... El Asadero is fantastic! It is on Court street in Pasco near an auto part store. YUMMMMMM!

HCG helped me to lose 3 pounds Today.

Today is day four.(second vlcd day). I was so excited to wake up and see that I had lost three pounds since yesterday. I love this diet!

Yesterday I ate a protein shake with a shot of espresso for breakfast. It was a great iced mocha!
Then I had a salad of lettuce, cucumbers and grilled chicken with apple slices.(dressed with mct oil, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and mrs dash table blend) For dinner I had 1/3 pound of sirloin steak, grilled cabbage and onions, a handful of cucumber slices and an apple. I also had 68 ounces of water throughout the day.

I love waking up and seeing the pounds disappear. Just for fun, I weighed myself right before bed and I was the same as I was in the morning(138.5lbs). When I woke up this morning I was 135.5 lbs. Three pounds that just disappeared!

The best part is that I'm not really hungry and because of the hcg, my body automatically wants more water, so that has not been a very big problem either. Usually I hate drinking water, but yesterday I was able to get 68 ounces. For me, that is a very big deal.

Today, we are over at the Kennewick office. It has been fun seeing the new place. It is a little difficult since we woke up too early to make a lunch(4 am) but I'm sure we'll be able to find something healthy somewhere.

Day Two, hCG Diet Protocol

I've started the diet again, no more procrastinating. That last 15 pounds is going to be TOAST.
My starting weight yesterday was 137 lbs, and today, on my second loading day, it is 138.25 lbs. So far, I've gained less weight on this loading than I did on my first time.

My goal is 118 pounds. That is the weight that I was before and after all my kids, so I think it is probably a good weight for me. Of course I would probably still be happy around 120-125. We'll see what happens.

My first loading day I went to Popeye's. MMM Buffalo chicken minis and cajun fries. Then for dinner we went for duck pho. At least, that is what Allen had. I had pork bun(vermicelli noodles and salad) with egg roll. I LOVE loading days!

This morning I had lasagna and corn pancakes. With butter! and milk. YUMMMY.
Can't wait for lunch! Better get some more water.

Don't forget to check out our websites at gotnd.com and gotnd.vpweb.com.

Ask me how you can earn hcg for FREE

That is the first line of my webpage: www.gotnd.vpweb.com.
Catchy isn't it?
We are so confident that hcg works for weight loss! I just wish the rest of the world knew about it. Hcg helps the body to unlock the stored fat to be metabolized, which gives the dieter about 2000 calories a day for their dietary needs. So that is why people don't usually experience hunger - their body is feeding off of their own fat!

And the answer is this: if you can gather 15 people to pay for and come to a seminar in your home, you can get the program for free for the first month.

Any men out there wanting to lose 20 pounds or more?

The hCG diet protocol works for men, too. Don't be afraid of the haters that say you will grow boobs or lose your manhood. Yes, hCG is a hormone made in the body of pregnant women, but it does not cause these side effects in men, at least not at the dosages taken for weight loss. I have heard of people taking this for body building purposes and I don't know about the side effects there, because they are taking much higher dosages.

You can lose up to a pound a day on the hCG diet protocol. It actually works better for men (by that I mean, FASTER) for some reason than it does for women. (Which is totally unfair!) I lost 13 pounds in the first two weeks, but my husband lost 10 pounds in the first week.

Bellingham weight loss seminars

We decided to start advertising the home seminars in Bellingham. It is kind of far from our home, but we do have family up there we could visit at the same time. Maybe we could take my mom to one? I don't know, we don't have the oral  hcg and she is kind of scared of needles.

I thought I was scared of needles, too until I tried the shots. They were so easy and the weight just dripped off. I think it is more a psychological thing, with apprehension of the needles hurting, than an actual physical pain. Those needles are so tiny, they hardly hurt at all.

Oklahoma is OK

Things must be working, even if they are going dreadfully slow. Somebody in OK, has found the website I made. I wonder how much faster this would be if I actually knew what I was doing? Is it going to happen before we drown in the economic crisis? - not the current one that everyone is going through - the old one that has been my life since adulthood.
If there is anyone out there....do you have any ideas you can comment to me about other sites I can try for FREE to help get our hcg ideas out to the public? Our budget is extremely limited. OK, who am I kidding, we don't even have a budget... However, I have put up something on facebook, I have this blog, next myspace, I guess...

I love free business cards!

Vista print ROCKS! I just finished making my first business cards and brochures. Can't wait to see them...(vistaprint.com)
No bites on  home seminars yet, but I was able to see my blog and website by Googling hcg home seminars. It's a slow start, but it is a start.
For all you hcg'ers out there, don't forget to drink your water, water, water, and more water.  And if you are having trouble staying in ketosis, try cutting out fruit and see if that helps.

Seattle Office

Construction sucks. We went into the office today and everything was still a mess. We even had to call and cancel an appointment. Hopefully, it will be up and running by next week.

What's in a name?

Well, isn't it interesting to find out that certain people have trademarked the name we have been using since January. Who really is HCG Diet Center anyway? Who has the right to the name? I guess the lawyers will  have to duke it out, I don't know what the legalities of naming a business are. I do know that the nice folks who have been helping us and live in Kennewick started  using the name in January, and certain other individuals trademarked it sometime around February 14. Happy blankety blank Valentine's Day...

Seminar brochures

Well, I finally finished the brochures and have added it to Allen's website. Now I just need to get the handouts ready. I think we have one person already interested in hosting a seminar, so we will see how that goes.
I hope this works, as I am running out of ideas of how not to drown in our financial troubles, while still helping people find reasonably priced hcg. I know this stuff works, I have seen it happen. (In the mirror, and on other people) I don't want to leave anyone to the sharks, so to speak.
Coming soon: You tube videos and informational blogs to help out all the people trying to do hcg on their own...

hCG Weight Loss Home Seminars

Yeah! We can now offer hCG weight loss home seminars at a group rate if more than five people commit to the package price of $175 each.(The package includes the seminar, one month of hcg, one bottle of mct oil, and one container of protein shake) That means that each person could save $170 off of regular prices. I hope this catches on because then we wouldn't have to worry about space rent or leases or utilities. What a relief that would be.
Here is the link if you are interested...

Seattle Clinic

Well, things are not going exactly like I hoped. We are bringing in an esthetician and the construction to make the rooms ready for her is bringing nothing but headaches and mess. I don't know if anyone will be able to find us if we can't even stay open and answer the phones. AAARGH! Plus, that shoots being able to pay bills for another week - no income, bummer!

Starting next week, I think things will be up and running a lot smoother. And it will look prettier too, because this carpenter actually looks like he knows what he is doing...

My daughter has restarted the program after our holiday scramble and is doing well. Lost 5 pounds so far...yeah!

If anyone is interested in starting a weight loss program with Dr. Johnson, he is still available by internet at gotnd.com.

That is all for now, more later...

Guess I'm not starting program

I know I should start back up, but there continues to be so much stress at work that I think I would just cheat anyway. For example, someone just came in and said there was an appointment for today and was here to pick up product, but I had to turn her away because we didn't have her file. Bonnie and Clyde took them to a new location without telling us. Now, I have contacted the health department and I know that the charts belong to the clinic and not the doctor, so when there is a falling out as there was with us, there is no recourse for telling the people that they could stay here. It makes me wonder if we will ever get any new people to come in with all this negativity around.
All I want to do is help people with the hcg diet, because I tried it and it worked for me. Me, a person with little to no willpower. I succeeded with this diet and I want to change the world!
That being said, here is a little info I picked up today...
Some good foods to include on the loading days are:
EVOO (extra virgin olive oil), drizzle on salads or saute
Avocados - eat plain, in salads, on a sandwich, even guacamole
Nuts - especially walnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans and pine nuts
Nut butters and tahini
Seeds - sesame, sunflower, pumpkin
Coconut - use meat, milk or oil
Olives - green or black
Salmon - high in omega 3
Hemp seed oil products - you can use the oil itself in salad dressing, but it can also be found in processed foods ( I tried an ice cream that was made with hemp seed oil once and it was great!) Hemp seed oil has a great balance of omega-3 and omega-6 which makes it really good for you.
All of these foods are rich in GOOD fats that will help you on your loading, but are things you have to avoid when following the VLCD. Eat up and enjoy....

want nd?

Well, here it is the first blog. Welcome to the blogosphere.....
The first thing I want to say is check out my new website at gotnd.com and our new office at 2106 N 45th St, Seattle, WA 98103. HCG Diet Center is going to rock as soon as we start getting new customers....
Next week, I start the hcg diet again and will be able to post updates here. Hopefully that will keep me from cheating and in no time I will look FANTASTIC!
